Our aim
Our goal is to provide support and advice in a practical and positive way. We use a range of prep and senior school colleagues covering all aspects of the independent sector thereby recognising the needs of widely different schools and we certainly do not espouse a 'one size fits all' approach.
By ensuring the right person is working with you I am confident that JBC can provide a range of benefits for your school. Crucially, we are able to work closely with you over a period of time if that is appropriate, which ensures a detailed understanding of you, your school and its needs; that partnership would seem to me to be the cornerstone of effective consultancy.

What we offer
Educational consultancy services
We offer a wide range of services although it is important to recognise that we are not a one size fits all shop! All our consultancy services are preceded by a visit to ensure that there is cohesion between your requirements and what we plan to do. You will be regularly consulted with progress to ensure that we are completing the project in line with your expectations.
Preparing schools for inspection
Our aim is to ensure that when the inspectors’ visit, they will see these areas at their very best, so on what is now limited evidence schools have the best chance of achieving excellence.
Tried and tested team
At James Barnes Consultancy we can safely say that between our team we have dealt with everything there is in the Independent School sector. Our experiences range from long standing Headmasters to boarding house Matrons. We offer first grade advice based on first hand experience.
